A marketing manager with a top-tier investment bank came to me for assistance with her influence and leadership within the organisation. Concerned with her future career prospects, she was worried she would not be considered for promotions due to a poor relationship with her superior, a member of the executive team. This person clearly required an increase in self-confidence, and leadership skills to enable her to be recognised by the rest of the executive team.

After an initial 360-degree feedback survey, we developed a plan to improve her leadership capabilities. Pathfinder one-to-one coaching sessions provided her with individual reflection, 'mind-stretch' and specific skill-building that enabled her to perform at a higher level. An individual strategic plan was created that ensured her increased profile with the executive team in Australia and Europe.

After six months, she was being recognised by the CEO and the leadership team, and being consulted on important decisions - two major breakthroughs. Beyond that, she was selected to represent the country on a global initiative and chosen to present at a national conference as a recognised leader in her industry.
